Anyhow! Back to nails, haha.
I've found the best way to get some really cool duo chromes is to layer a sheer, shimmery polish over a creme or more opaque shimmery shade. Thus was the case when I created this manicure right here (Please excuse my slight tip wear, work is rough on the nails)
Amazing, don't you think? More pics and how I created this look after the jump! :)
Seriously, photos do NOT do this polish combination justice, it's that intense. I had such a hard time trying to capture the true quality of the colours, but none of these pictures got it right.
To create this manicure, I first applied two coats of Milani nail lacquer in 119 Totally Cool. Here's what it looks like:
Once the polish dried completely I went over it with a thin layer of Sinful Colors in Let Me Go.
After that's dried you'll want to protect it with a nice top coat. I used Seche Vite fast dry top coat.
What I love about this combo is that Totally Cool already has an amazing purple-gold glass fleck that just barely shows through the top layer of Let Me Go, making this finish even more alluring. I tried to get a nice closeup of the effect, hopefully you can see what I'm talking about haha:
See the flecks? So pretty :)
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed my gushing of duo chromes. If you have any really cool combination suggestions, tell me about them in the comments!
Till next time <3
